Tyrrell Bear Co. began with a simple belief: that a handmade bear can carry more love, comfort, and personality than anything mass‑produced. Every teddy and felted friend I create is born from warmth, imagination, and the joy of giving someone a companion that feels truly special.
What started as a small creative hobby quickly grew into a passion. Each bear has its own little spark — a tilt of the head, a soft smile, a quirky expression — and before long, they felt less like products and more like characters with their own stories to tell. I realised I wasn’t just making teddies; I was crafting tiny bundles of affection meant to bring comfort, nostalgia, and a touch of magic into people’s lives.

Our history
Tyrrell Bear Co. began long before it had a name — back when I stitched my very first bear, Harry, over 15 years ago. He wasn’t perfect, but he was full of heart. With his slightly wonky smile and the softest little face, Harry became the first teddy who truly felt alive to me. He’s still with me today, a gentle reminder of where this journey began.
What started as a simple creative experiment quickly grew into a passion. Each new bear taught me something — how to shape a softer expression, how to bring out a personality with just a tilt of the head, how to make a teddy feel like a companion rather than a toy.
